Mr. Wasin Prasertlap

Award-winning pianist Wasin Prasertlap has performed as a soloist and collaborative musician in Southeast Asia, the US and Eastern Europe. Among his many prizes, he was awarded First Prize at Thailand’s 1st National Piano Concerto Competition and won the Crescendo Summer Institute Chamber Music Competition in Sárospatak, Hungary in 2012.

A recipient of the Peabody Scholarship and the Yong Siew Toh Scholarship, Wasin earned a Graduate Performance Diploma and Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance from the Peabody Conservatory, where he was awarded the Pauline Favin Memorial Award upon graduation. Prior to that, he received the Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance from the National University of Singapore. His former teachers included Benjamin Pasternack, Thomas Hecht, Artas Balakauskas and Indhuon Srikaranonda-Balakauskas. He has additionally been coached by diverse international artists, including Leon Fleisher, Yefim Bronfman, Angela Hewitt, Boris Berman, Martin Helmchen, Peter Frankl, Michael Kannen and Katherine Jacobson Fleisher.

In March 2016, Wasin was invited to perform in the "Pray for Japan Vol. 8" concert, and in August, he performed Rachmaninov's Paganini Rhapsody with the Thai Youth Orchestra under the baton of Dr. Akkrawat Srinarong.

Wasin has been teaching at SOONER The Classical Music School since January 2015, which his students have won several prizes in various competitions. Wasin also teaches major piano, chamber music, and piano collaborative at The Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music.

วศิน ประเสริฐลาภ

วศิน ประเสริฐลาภ สำเร็จการศึกษาด้านการแสดงเปียโน ระดับปริญญาโท และ Graduate Performace Diploma จาก Peabody Conservatory of Music มหาวิทยาลัย Johns Hopkins เมือง Baltimore ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา และระดับปริญญาตรีจาก Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music มหาวิทยาลัย National University of Singapore โดยนอกจากจะได้รับทุนเล่าเรียนจากโรงเรียนทั้งสองที่ วศิน ยังได้รับรางวัล Pauline Favin Memorial Award จาก Peabody Conservatory หลังจากที่เรียนจบระดับปริญญาโทอีกด้วย วศินยังได้มีโอกาสเรียน และเข้าร่วม Master Class กับศิลปินผู้มีชื่อเสียงหลายท่าน อาทิเช่น Artas Balakauskas, ดร. อินทุอร ศรีกรานนท์-บาลาเคาสคาส, Benjamin Pasternack, Leon Fleisher, Yefim Bronfman, Angela Hewitt, Michael Kannen, Thomas Hecht เป็นต้น

ทางด้านผลงานการแสดงและการแข่งขัน วศิน มีประสบการการแสดงทั้งแบบ เดี่ยวเปียโน (solo), collaborative/accompanist, chamber music และเคยแสดงร่วมกับ orchestra ทั้งในแบบ soloist และ orchestral pianist ทั้งในไทย สิงคโปร์ อเมริกา และ ยุโรป ส่วนทางด้านการแข่งขัน วศิน เคยได้รับรางวัลชนะเลิศจากการแข่งขัน Thailand's First Piano Concerto Competition จัดโดยมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล, รางวัลรองชนะเลิศจากการแข่งขัน ปิยะพันธ์ สนิทวงศ์ ครั้งที่ 6, และเป็นหนึ่งในผู้ชนะ Crescendo Summer Institute Chamber Music Competition เมือง Sárospatak ประเทศ Hungary ในปี 2012

ปัจจุบัน วศิน เป็นอาจารย์พิเศษอยู่ที่สถาบันกัลยาณิวัฒนา เป็นครูเปียโนอยู่ที่สถาบันดนตรี Sooner รวมถึงเปิดสอนอยู่ที่สตูดิโอส่วนตัว
